I'm still haven't completely wrapped my head around the fact that I'm no longer travelling. It sucks. I miss it. This is not to say that there aren't great things about being home. Travelling should make one appreciate home; otherwise one should really evaluate whether that place is "home".
Here's a quick list of things that make not travelling suck less:
- Naters (really, all friends and family; but I figured I'd highlight the youngest, cutest one.)
- live NHL hockey (though, as a Leafs fan, it can get tiresome as a supporter of a team that
sucksis rebuilding.) - editing photos on something larger than a 13-inch screen
- driving
- Tim Hortons
- access to blue jeans
- Unibroue beers
- running in crisp, single-digit temperatures
- full use of my BlackBerry without worrying over ludicrous roaming charges
- my Wüsthof knives
- Mountain Equipment Co-op
But I wish I was still out there.
