In Which I Bribe With You With Wallpapers

Believe me when I say that the lack of updates to this blog has not escaped my notice. While perusing the latest statistics on my behind-the-scenes web tracker, I made note of the fact that there is a small but loyal group of you that has opened up the site every couple of days, no doubt looking for a new entry or two. That you haven't been greeted with fresh content makes me feel bad.

I'm working on it. The blogging will not stop merely because my trip has ended. The somewhat obsessive-compulsive completionist in me will see to that, especially since there is more than six-months worth of travel about which I have not yet written. However, my procrastinating and mild-ADHD qualities will probably mean that the entries will keep flowing through late 2012.

While you're waiting, I come bearing offerings; as recompense for everybody's continued interest and support. During my travels, both friends and strangers, at home and abroad, have been highly complimentary of my photography. Not infrequently, the praise is accompanied by requests to use certain photos as desktop wallpaper.

The hosting of these wallpaper images comes courtesy of my account at Dropbox, a web-based storage system. I started using Dropbox while abroad as a backup system for files I needed to have handy while travelling. Now that I'm at home, I'm finding it useful to keep certain documents on the Cloud rather than on any one of my multiple computers; allowing me, for example, to edit my resumé on my home system, or on my portable laptop while sipping coffee at a café.
